Dietmar Korthals was born in Dortmund in 1971. As a seven-year-old he had his first piano lessons. 1987 he won a prize at the state competition "Jugend komponiert" [Youth composes]. After that, he studied composition (H.J.M.A. Derdack) from 1989 and continued by studying musical science, dramatics, film and television sciences as well as communication sciences at the Ruhr University of Bochum. |
